Bret Bertrand's Experience as a Therapist
Hi, my name is Bret Bertrand, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor here at Integrative Family Counseling. I received my Masters in Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University and previously earned my B.A. from Illinois State University. My goal as a therapist is to welcome, encourage, and motivate people to move forward in life.
For the past 25 years, it has been a privilege to journey alongside many individuals, couples, and families through the transitions and challenges of life.
I have worked with those moving from overseas and am familiar with transitional issues and starting over. I also have experience counseling the incarcerated who face addiction, shame, trauma, grief, and family conflict
While we cannot change the difficult experiences from the past, we can strive together to understand and overcome any negative impact you currently have in your life. I believe together we can develop a path toward healing, health, and freedom to keep moving forward.
Specialties: Addiction, Depression, Family Conflicts, Grief and Loss, Relationship Issues, Substance Abuse, Trauma and PTSD, Spirituality, Christian
